Broke after not even a month

My husband and I decided on this set for our apartment. We have two small children so we didn't want something super expensive that we know might possibly be ruined. We are eventually moving into a house, so we know this will be an in-between dinette set until we get our forever furniture. Honestly,... the deciding factor was the price. It felt sturdy enough in the store, and we really liked the look of it. My husband picked up the set and it came in two boxes. It came in so many pieces, it took hours to put together. I was really happy with this furniture set. After reading other reviews about how the chairs constantly needed tightening, we didn't find that problem and were satisfied. The other day I went to get down from one of the stools and the wooden piece on the bottom of the stool that I stepped on light just snapped in half and wood went flying everywhere. I am extremely disappointed. This is not even a month old yet. I knew this was cheap, but I wasn't expecting that! Looking at it drives me crazy. I need to figure out how to get a replacement bar. It should be covered under warranty!
