This was purchased online without seeing it in person, something I will try to never do again. The table was made from some sort of polyurethane material. The "wood grain" on the urn base was comically bad. When pulled from the box for assembly, I noticed the table top was wet and the wetness had seeped under the veneer layer causing discoloration around the perimeter. I thought it was water, but after assembling the table, I could not get the liquid off of my hands. It was a clear oil that was difficult to wash off, even with Dawn dish liquid and water (which is what the EPA uses to clean animals who have been caught in an oil slick). Trying to get it off of the table top was not possible, either, plus it had a sharp, chemical smell that was unpleasant. I ended up putting the table outside on a covered balcony because I was afraid the oil would transfer to more fabrics (it was all over my pants), the new rug, etc. After 4 days outside on the balcony, the smell and oozing of oil had not improved. The table was a total loss.
